Since May 24, the prefectures of Jura and Ain have decided, as a precautionary measure, to temporarily lower the water level of Lake Coiselet.
This measure follows an expert report warning of the risk of a rock slide upstream of the dam. The goal is to prevent any potential risk and ensure the safety of all residents of the valley, all the way to Lyon.
